Christine Johnson, CBCP, is an ecosystem strategist with 20+ years of experience turning relationships, market insight, and emerging opportunities into strategies for growth and resilience. Her work spans economic development, innovation, stakeholder engagement, business support, and business continuity, grounded in a belief that strong relationships and resilient systems create the conditions for opportunity.

Christine has led strategies involving global companies, including Spotify, Microsoft, Ford, and AWS, while advising early-stage ventures, economic development agencies, entrepreneur support organizations, consultants, and public-private partnerships across multiple markets.

At the Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO), Christine helped shape one of the nation’s premier innovation ecosystems. She later became one of the first senior-level innovation economic development specialists in South Florida, connecting companies, entrepreneurs, public agencies, and community partners to opportunities for growth, investment, and collaboration.

Her experience includes ecosystem-building initiatives, small business engagement strategies, multi-million-dollar U.S. EDA-funded programs, and community engagement for complex infrastructure initiatives. During periods of economic disruption, she has designed approaches connecting businesses to timely information, trusted resources, and relationship-based support. Today, she combines that experience with formal expertise in business continuity and resilience to help organizations consider how they grow, prepare for disruption, understand critical dependencies, and adapt to change.

Christine also founded a regional diversity-in-tech initiative that grew to more than 1,000 members and has supported initiatives representing more than $100 million in local investment.

Her current interests include exploring agriculture, food systems, and women’s basketball through an economic and community development lens, examining how emerging industries and cultural assets can create distinctive opportunities for places, businesses, entrepreneurs, and investment.
